DescriptionHennepin Countys Public Health department is seeking an experienced and committed Clinic Manager to oversee Public Healths Red Door Clinic, which is the largest sexual health clinic in Minnesota and has operated for more than 50 years. The Red Door Clinic is part of a larger Public Health Clinic, which also includes comprehensive testing and treatment for tuberculosis and refugee health exams. The Clinic Manager will be a leader over Red Doors clinical programs and an outward facing leader to the community.The Red Door Clinic and its programming has grown substantially over the years to now include comprehensive sexual health care services, disease investigation services, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, HIV prevention and care, family planning and reproductive health, a full-time syringe service program, and medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD)/harm reduction programming. It also includes a mobile outreach program to expand Red Doors services into communities most impacted by the HIV/syphilis outbreaks and opioid epidemics (Black/MSM, populations experiencing homelessness, etc.). The Red Door clinic supports a large grant portfolio including multiple Ryan White grants.Hennepin County Public Health is committed to advancing health and racial equity. For more information visit employee referral program.Location and hours:This position is located onsite in downtown Minneapolis at the Hennepin County Public Health Clinic, 525 Portland Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.About the position type:This is a full-time, benefit-earning position.This position is internally classified as a Clinic Manager.Click here to view the job classification specification.Once an employee reaches the maximum of the salary range, they may be eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $5,507.06 that can be earned annually based on performance.In this position, you will:Supervise five Red Door front-line supervisors to support the Red Doors Strategic Priority: Invest in staffing support to ensure patient access to quality, and evidence-based healthcare services.Provide direction to Red Doors leadership team by organizing and coordinating activities across all lines of programming and lead regular meetings to discuss Red Door operations.Oversee and lead Red Doors strategic work plan and implementation of new initiatives to support the Red Door Strategic Priority: Reduce the incidence of infectious disease, overdose, and racial and health disparities in heavily impacted populations.Serve as a public face of Red Door Clinic by supporting community engagement and strategic partnerships with communities heavily impacted by infectious disease/STIs, overdose, and racial and health disparities.Manage the daily clinic and Red Door program operations to support the Red Door Strategic Priority: Develop operational infrastructure to sustain and grow programming.Work with grant manager and program supervisors to develop annual program and grant budgets, in alignment with departmental budget priorities.Lead and implement Red Doors Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Program by developing and monitoring work plans, program goals and objectives to accomplish work plan projects through to completion.Develop best practice policies, protocols, and procedures for operations and the efficient use of personnel in clinical care delivery.Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission, and core values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.Need to have:One of the following:Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, psychology, public health, nursing, social work, or related field, and five years of experience in clinic or program management that includes supervisory responsibility.Nine years or more of experience in clinic operations, public administration, or program management that includes supervisory responsibility.Nice to have:Experience:Supporting racial equity or disparity reduction work from a public health perspective.In managerial or supervisory roles within the sexual health, infectious disease, biomedical interventions (PrEP, PEP, etc.), reproductive justice, and/or harm reduction lines of businesses.Using consensus-based leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusive decision-making.With the administrative aspects of managing a clinic including financial management and budgeting, clinical operations, marketing, and strategic work planning.Using Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic health records like Epic.Managing large and complex projects through to completion.With racial equity, gender equity, LGBTQIA+ equity, and/or people with varying abilities to achieve health and racial equity.Overseeing service delivery within a harm reduction model.Ability to:Provide a creative and supportive environment that inspires supervisors and staff to provide enhanced service delivery.Provide project management that demonstrates leadership skills, personal initiative, and effective decision making with resulting outcomes that are in line with strategic objectives.Provide excellent communication skills, particularly strong skills in facilitating interdisciplinary and interracial dialogue between leaders and teams.Engage and empower employees.Foster an environment that recognizes and respects cultural, lifestyle, and socioeconomic differences.Establish and carry out effective working relationships with employees, people receiving services, other professionals, agencies, and the public.Knowledge of diversity and inclusion strategies with a focus on racial disparities reduction.Knowledge of healthcare systems, policies, and the broader context.About the department:Hennepin County Public Healths vision is for all people who live, work and play in Hennepin County to experience optimal health grounded in health and racial equity.
