We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. We are currently seeking a kind, engaging, and energetic respite provider for a sweet little boy who thrives outdoors and enjoys sensory activities. The family is hoping to find someone available to work a few hours in the afternoon between Monday and Thursday, with flexible scheduling to be determined collaboratively between the family and provider. Respite likely to begin in his home until he is comfortable, and gradually expand to include time in the provider’s home or out in the community. This young man is on the Autism spectrum and due to a development speech delay, he will be utilizing an augmented communication device to help express his needs more clearly (no experience required, just openness to learn). Pay: $14.13/hour (after tax rate)Location: Child resides in Menomonie, WI - Care location TBD between family & providerSchedule: 6 hours/week available. Schedule TBD between family & provider – Flexible shifts (M-TH afternoons preferred)Things He Enjoys: LOVES being outside (Go to the park, the beach, or Wakanda Waterpark) Sensory Activities (Loves playing in the sand) Paw Patrol Likes to know how things work(Get creative with learning & playing!) Help him stay busy and engaged with activities to maintain an active lifestyle Ideal Candidate: A kind, patient, and understanding individual who can offer a safe and fun environment Someone who enjoys outdoor activities and is willing to be active and engaged in various physical tasks. Open to regular communication with the family and adaptable to a changing schedule.
