opportunity for an Advanced Field Service Engineer in Minneapolis! One of our largest customers' needs a highly skilled
technician with a strong business acumen. This position will be an embedded
resource at a customer site and will be a subject matter expert for Honeywell
controls installed at the site. In addition to general HVAC automation
responsibilities, this role will have opportunities to manage projects along
with identifying and implementing energy savings opportunities. This is a great
growth opportunity to expand your career.Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures the development and
    implementation of technical system project plans as set forth by the CTS
    Agreement to ensure timely, cost-effective completion and compliance with local
    and state code requirements; to ensure customer satisfaction and acceptance of
    systems, and to support achievement of profit, revenue and growth objectives.
  • Programming of DDC Controllers and graphic creation.
  • Estimating, budgeting, sales support and implementation of construction
    additions at the customer site, including, project scheduling, project
    management, coordination and management of subcontractors, manpower loading,
    coordination and oversight of engineering, commissioning, and checkout &
    testing.
  • Negotiation and coordination with customer selected mechanical and general
    contractors including contract management, accounts receivable, and billing and
    collections.
  • Acts as a liaison between Honeywell and Customer Management to promote
    understanding, agreement of contract implementation and mutual satisfaction
    which will contribute to the achievement of long-range profit and growth goals.
  • Solution development work closely with the customer to identify opportunities
    as well as develop and formally propose solutions.
  • Ensures optimum performance of installed systems and resolves system problems
    with appropriate personnel to meet contract performance objectives.
  • Supports customer staff by developing and maintaining reporting systems that
    provide accurate, timely and pertinent information on contract performance, for
    use in customer presentations and program justifications
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly work orders. Initiates action plans as needed to
    ensure continued customer satisfaction.
  • Recommends improvements to the operation of energy consuming devices to
    further reduce operating expenses and ensures achievement of long-range
    savings, and revenue and growth objectives.
  • Ensures optimum performance of installed systems and resolves system problems
    with appropriate personnel to meet contract performance objectives. Reports
    on-going financial performance to the customer and keeps them apprised of
    departmental functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participates in industry and customer meetings, seminars, and trade shows as
    needed to further the development and sale of HVAC products and services.
    Provides input to customer and industry newsletters, flyers, and other means of
    communications.
  • Share best practices and problems-solution ideas by networking with other counterparts.
  • Ensure appropriate business management practices and policies are implemented
    to assure process and audit controls are in place.
  • Ensure the safety plans are implemented consistent with District or Region
    safety plans.You Must Have--
    • High School Diploma/GED
      plus 5 years of experience in technically related field work in either HVAC, or
      IT.
    • 2 years of combined experience in one or more of the following areas:--
    • HVAC systems - (I.e. Control systems, Mechanical system operation and
      building facilities)
    • Energy Management Systems - (I.e. Identify Energy Usage, Cost Trends, and
      interpreting results.)
    • 2 years of experience in troubleshooting IT related equipment
    • 1 year experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office
      Suite
    • 2 years of experience reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings
      and diagrams
    • Driver's licenseWe Value--
      • Honeywell Installed Systems HVAC Product knowledge.
      • Associate or Technical college degree.
      • High degree of business acumen with primary orientation toward
        process/systems, speed, cost quality and creating customer value and results
      • Three years of experience in a technical leadership position
      • Two years of experience coordinating energy improvement projects.
      • Creates and manages change through continuous exploration and learning.
      • Cognitive skills: analytical and problem solving skills, as well as ability
        to provide a sound and reliable judgment in complex situations.
      • Strategy and execution skills with ability to operate strategically,
        tactically, and operationally.
      • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly establish and maintain
        rapport.
      • Conflict resolution skills.
      • Ability to operate collaboratively in a matrixed team environment with a
        win-win orientation.
      • Flexibility and resilience, including ability to adapt to changing/uncertain
        conditions.
      • Utilizes support functions and all other available resources to apply best
