JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Technician will conduct strong working knowledge of
body and chassis operations, controls, sensors, pneumatics,
hydraulics, mechanical systems, start-up, and troubleshooting and
be able to demonstrate strong safety leadership skills, follow safe
work practices and work independently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may
be assigned.
Test, check, and adjust vehicles and systems for completion and
function.
Resolve repetitive defects through investigation and corrective
action.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with
procedures, rules, and regulations.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and make recommendations for electrical
problems.
Develop, implement, and document best practice methods and maintain
records.
Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance.
Diagnose and repair problems on production vehicles and provide
failure analysis.
Conduct software updates and calibrations.
Follow all Safety procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) or more years' experience in a heavy-duty
truck/manufacturing environment or an evaluated equivalent.
Successful passing of a welding test with a score of 70 or
higher.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) or more years of assembly at McNeilus.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand both electrical and
hydraulic schematics.

routine nature. Requires the ability to understand the follow
instructions.
