The Big Picture:

Mortenson is looking for a Contracts Manager who will be responsible for assisting operating groups to draft and negotiate construction contracts with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

What you will be doing:

• Assist in the drafting and negotiation of owner agreements
• Assist in the award and negotiation of subcontract agreements
• Assemble and track owner agreement and subcontract exhibits
• Issue professional service agreements
• Prepare confidentiality agreements and related documents
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Review bid proposals and owner agreements to identify significant provisions of interest in bid documents and contracts
• Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance of team How you will succeed:
  • Solid understanding of the contracting process from negotiation through execution (alternatively, experience with construction project transactions including owner agreements and subcontracts)
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction contract or project management or in a non-construction corporate contracts department
