Overview: Full-time - Year-round - Comprehensive Benefits Package
$35.00 an hour Supervises and participates in the inspection,
maintenance and repair of ride and facility electronic/electrical
equipment/electrical controls and systems to ensure efficient and
safe operations at all times. Assists in the installation,
modification, upgrading and repair of electrical equipment and
control systems used throughout the Park. Performs related
technical and supervisory duties as required.
Responsibilities:Experience related to programming
machines.Troubleshooting control systems (down to a sensor or
component drive).Experience with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive)
programming or troubleshooting and installation.Supervises and
participates in the inspection, maintenance and performance of
electronic/electrical repairs for Park rides,ensuring efficient and
safe operations at all times.Inspects and evaluates rides for
proper function; detects and investigates any electronic/electrical
malfunctions or irregularities and responds to daily trouble
calls.Orders parts as needed for maintaining ride control
systems.Ensures rides are maintained according to the manufacturer,
Cedar Fair and State guidelines to ensure the safety of ride
operators and guests.Makes suggestions on improving or retrofitting
existing ride control systems when variables such as obsolescence
indicate the need for doing so.Supervises and coordinates retrofits
of existing control systems.Maintains working copy of existing
control system software and keeps up to date with newer
versions.Maintains integrity of existing ride control programs and
annually checks for discrepancies of each ride system.Coordinates
and performs annual preventative maintenance of ride control
systems.Assists in maintaining documentation of ride control
systems.Assists in other areas where control expertise is required,
such as energy management lighting systems.Assists in overseeing
the work of outside contractors as necessary.Coordinates activities
with other departments and crews as necessary.Attends workshops,
training, meetings, etc., to maintain skills and stay abreast of
industry trends, products and resources.Receives and reviews
various records and reports including maintenance requests,
maintenance reports, schematics, ride modification forms, purchase
orders, equipment manuals, shift reports, safety sheets, down time
reports, contractor, quotes, etc.Prepares and/or processes numerous
maintenance records, shift reports, purchase orders, modification
forms, estimates, contract agreements, schedules, etc.Refers to
policy and procedure manuals, maintenance manuals, technical
manuals and diagrams, blueprints, computer manuals, ride manuals,
catalogs, reference manuals, etc.Operates a variety of equipment
and machinery, which may include a vehicle, snorkel lift, fork
lift, computer, two-way radio, etc.Uses a variety of supplies and
tools, which may include computer and clerical supplies,
electrician tools, meters, scopes, other hand and power tools,
etc.Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals
such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff,
co-workers, subordinates, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors,
etc.Qualifications:Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.2-4
years related experience required in industrial electrical and
electronic maintenance.Ability to use spreadsheet and database
computer systems. Must possess extensive knowledge of PLC's, motor
drives and display units.Must possess a valid MN driver's
license.Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to
meet business needs.
