Install annuals, perennials,
landscape plants, and related landscape products. Perform garden
maintenance at client properties as well as Bachman's locations as
directedGive work direction and assist in training Garden
Maintenance team.Plant seasonal annuals and perennials in
containers and bedsWork outdoors all day in all conditions during
April through mid-DecemberWork independently and with a team.
Perform routine fleet vehicle maintenance. Promote efficiency and
workplace safety.Perform other duties as assigned.Attendance is an
essential function of this position and we rely on all our
employees to be at work during their scheduled
shift.QUALIFICATIONS:
Has completed 3 or more seasons of
annual and perennial planting and maintenance. Exception may be
made for candidate with a combination of formal education
(Horticulture or related Science) and experience.Demonstrates
knowledge of garden maintenance, annual and perennial plantings,
pruning shrubs and small trees, plant identification, and knowledge
of chemical applications. - Must have valid driver's license, be
insurable by Bachman's insurance provider and be able to drive in
all weather conditionsMust be able to acquire Health Card before
start date.Must have Pesticide Applicators License or obtain
license before start date.Must be able to work independently and
with a team. - Detail oriented and have strong time management
skills.Must be able to give work direction to crew helpers as
needed.Must pass a Pre-employment physical screening. - Preference
would be made to candidate with Horticulture education,
certification or training. Such as MNLA Certification or Master
Gardener.SCHEDULE:
Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights,
