Description:General Summary: The Distribution Associate is the front line role for processing orders and rectifying inventory issues. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to processing incoming and outgoing shipments as assigned.Essential Functions:Maintaining inventory integrity by performing cycle count activitiesFilling and issuing orders and/or back orders to authorized personnelHousekeeping practices in the stockroom and distribution areasLoading trucks and UPS shipmentsPerforming basic machine assembly when necessaryIndicating routing and arranging for proper distribution proceduresCompletes and assists with special projectsOther duties as assignedForklift operations as requiredAssure company quality goals are metAdhere by Plymouth Industries Core Values: Impress the Customer, Performance Driven, Quality in All We Do, Act with Integrity and Professionalism, Collaborative Continuous Improvement, and Be SafeRequirements:Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related distribution experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to other employees of the organization.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Forklift CertificationAdditional Information:Must be able to operate forklift and overhead crane. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds 2/3 of the time and up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the time. Must demonstrate working knowledge of computers, i.e. Windows. Experience in ERP systems as well as basic knowledge of freight rates and discount systems is highly desirable.PI202124362
