A culture driven by our people, over 30,000 strong, serving our clients with customized solutions that will protect them and fuel their futures!Position Summary:The Compensation Analyst summarizes market data from surveys and proprietary databases and analyzes the data against client specific compensation and benefit information. Maintaining productive relationships with consultants and working with them in the provision of consulting services across fields.Responsibilities:Maintain knowledge of typical employee benefits including: health, life, disability, retirement, vacation, severance, and perquisites.Maintain knowledge of basic salary administration practices, types of health care organizations and survey benchmark jobs.Maintain familiarity with the benefit and cash databases. Enter client data accurately and in a timely manner.Develop and maintain published surveys.Learn how to use data cutter tools and become a guide in market pricing peer group parameters.Use of spreadsheet applications to calculate and compile market pay value, benefit cost analysis, and retirement calculations.Develop knowledge of Governance and Leadership services, consulting tools and processes.Prepare analysis for consultants (i.e., cost per dollar, benefit summary, retirement calculations, and market charts) based on submitted client data and consultant direction.Identify data and analysis issues resulting from market pricing and benefit analysis work.Prepare contract letters and data requests with minimal input from senior consultants!Project ManagementLearn and use administrative tools and develop individual project budgets.Produce standard reports and memorandums following established models or templates. Communicate issues and insights clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.Participate in client conference calls to address specific client projects, questions or issues.Apply standard methods to routine problems.Team Work and collaborationDevelop in-depth knowledge of types of projects in the Total Compensation and Rewards Practice, and familiarity with other products and services offered by other practices.Respond in a timely manner to client inquiries and communicate progress.Demonstrate dedication to accuracy and consistency in providing client assistance.Required:Education: Bachelors degree; Emphasis in mathematics or statistics preferredExperience: Entry level one or more years of experience in an analytical/statistical position preferredHighly developed analytical skills, including a high degree of accuracy in calculations and manipulation of numeric data.Ability to coordinate and prioritize workBasic problem solving skills and asks for support when needed.Clear, concise, professional written and oral communications.Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with Access preferredAbility to work well with individuals at multiple levelsAttention to detail and accuracy.U.S. Eligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit an application and resume/CV online to be consideredAre you 18 years of age or older or can you demonstrate legal capacity to enter a contract?Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigationMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. - For U.S. employment opportunities, -Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents.
