SummaryThe Teaming Consultant will focus on coaching, growing, supporting, and building teams. The position will partner closely with the Practice Growth COE, Group Vice Presidents, Group Practice Directors, and field leaders to proactively identify matches, form teams, coach advisors to considering teaming, and provide reactive end-to-end teaming support. This position will also work closely with the COEs to align strategically to achieve our One Big Goal to significantly grow its businesses and client base. This role is responsible for building, growing, developing, and maturing teams.

Please note, this can be a remote positionJob Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-- A successful Teaming Consultant will:

  • Have the ability to coach and influence Thrivent's advisor who are considering teaming and coach team practices to transformational growth.
  • Provide end-to-end teaming support for all teams in the areas of forming a team, building a team, considering teaming, matchmaking, adding to a team, roles & responsibilities, role pathing, systems, business continuity, human capital, technology integration, compensation, communication, marketing, accountability, team health, conflict resolution, and scenario planning.
  • Provide coaching and support for leveraged solos, associates, and revenue sharing practices to identify practice needs and take the practice to the next level.
  • Have experience working with advisors and teams of advisors in pursuit of productivity gains for the practice. (Revenue/sales growth, client growth, marketing/events, foundational practice management)
  • Carry a strong "advisor as customer" orientation that quickly builds trust and confidence.
  • Support balanced revenue growth across product lines using Thrivent's Purposeful Advice platform.Coach and motivate all teams to higher productivity, healthy dynamics, and growth:
    • Lead and partner with top team practices in the Thrivent Advisor channel on business growth strategies. Jointly design business growth plans, coach team to successful outcomes.
    • Support teams on evolving practice structure and overall management. Provide expert consultation in areas of adding team members and successfully launching new advisors onto teams using Thrivent's Professional Practice model.
    • Drive capacity and productivity growth by being a consultative expert on launching new advisors and staff members onto teams. Partner with local group leaders and Advisor Growth Center of Excellence.
    • Provide subject matter expertise in designing curriculum, and overall Teaming approach. Share best practices across the organization.
    • Demonstrate ability to use practice management tools and technology effectively with veteran teams and others. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
      • Four-year college degree strongly preferred.
      • Minimum 5 years coaching financial advisors
      • Experienced, consultative expert: deep foundational practice management background, advanced teaming structure and coaching experience
      • Credible: seen as an expert in what it takes to build and grow successful Team practice: business planning, teaming strategies, revenue and client growth, leverage, and specialization
      • Results Oriented: coaches others to success and drives toward goals
      • People Oriented: comfortable leading, coaching and partnering with others, whether in large groups, small groups, or one-on-one settings. Strong "Vet FP/Team as customer" orientation.
      • Adaptable: flexible, agile, and amenable
      • Experience in using (or the ability to quickly learn) Thrivent's Purposeful Advice platform, Salesforce and other Thrivent tools and systems (i.e. CAP, Illustrations, etc.) and ability and willingness to model, promote and demonstrate usage of tools as needed.
      • Expertise with practice management topics: client service models, adding staff/new advisors to a team or solo practice, model office, etc.
      • Ability to present and facilitate large and small groups to drive understanding of concepts and practices that lead to veteran advisor success.
      • Ability to utilize technology (i.e., Pareto, Salesforce, Power BI analytics) to connect with and coach veteran advisors.
      • Professional designation, coaching certification, or history of significant progress toward achievement preferred.
      • FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 required or obtained within 90 days.
      • Satisfactory background check and clean compliance record.
      • Flexibility to travel within the region (may include overnight) and conduct business during evening hours.
