Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)Clinical Performance (CP) is charged with effectively implementing, monitoring, and executing on clinical documentation, quality, and affordability programs that promote patient health while improving the provider practice experience with a special focus on Medicare Risk Adjustment and HEDIS. Clinical Performance processes on a national level by providing support in all markets served by OptumCare Delivery.The BusinessAnalyst is responsible for performing analytics, quality assurance, and remediation of gaps in data. You will be in the driver seat with hands on opportunity to work with big data, intake files and prepare submissions to multiple different health plans. This is a great opportunity to bring great ideas to help improve our delivery on key health care initiatives.Youll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Risk Adjustment and Quality Initiatives: Perform analytics, quality assurance, and remediation of gaps in data. Work with intake files and prepare submissions to multiple different health plans. Identify best practices and key areas for improvement in clinical documentation and quality Monitor and report on program performance and outcomes Maintain a thorough understanding of operating infrastructure to efficiently analyze and report Continuous Improvements: Identify improvements to existing processes to better align with changing operations and business needs Develop innovative ways to address and appropriately prioritize the varying information needs of markets Critical Success Factors: Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment Self-starter and be able to take direction and come up with approaches and solutions Working in a matrix environment to drive efficiencies through influence Seeks ways to improve job and operational efficiency and makes suggestions as appropriate Takes ownership of the process and provides constructive information to minimize problems and increase provider and market satisfaction Partners with Care Delivery leadership teams and Optum management across markets to coordinate execution and implementation in all markets Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of healthcare related experience Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) 10% travel to conferences / large meetings as needed Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
