Hot Food Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hot Food Supervisor to
oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of hot food
items in our kitchen facility.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the hot food
production team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance,
and providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure that all hot food items are prepared according to
standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards, while
adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies required
for hot food production, and communicate any shortages or
discrepancies to the relevant personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the hot food
production area, including workstations, equipment, and storage
areas, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Conduct regular quality checks of hot food items to verify
taste, texture, appearance, and temperature, and take corrective
action as necessary to address any issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production
schedules and ensure timely delivery of hot food products.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related
to food preparation, safety, and hygiene, and ensure compliance
with local health regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor and control costs related to hot food production,
including labor, ingredients, and equipment maintenance, to
optimize efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new culinary techniques,
and emerging technologies in hot food preparation, and recommend
innovations or improvements to enhance product quality and
operational effectiveness.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promote
teamwork and communication among team members, and contribute to a
culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge required.
- One to three years of related work experience
required.
- Problem solving and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results
and achieve productivity goals.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP),
FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, along
with the ability to multi-task.
