Job Description:
Overview:The Ultrasound Technologist functions independently
based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all
major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to
patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality
diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care
according to established standards of practice, and works
collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The
technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in
accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency
requirements (ARRT).This position is eligible for a new hire
sign-on bonus up to $6000!Schedule: This is a .6FTE(48 hours worked
per 2 week pay period). Typical work schedule will be weekdays. No
weekends!Location: M Health Clinics and Surgery Center located in

Description:Performs diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms
examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely mannerVerifies
patient identification and documentation and reviews physician
order prior to exam or procedureCommunicates pertinent information
to the appropriate health care professionalAchieves quality
diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of
technical factors according to protocolCommunicates with and
educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects
of exam and participates in creating a culture of patient
safety.Accurately produces and records measurements according to
protocols and conveys initial findings and clinical data to
radiologistsDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for
facilityEnsures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer
functions, edits, scheduling, billing, and status changes in a
timely fashionPerforms accurate image identification, record
preparation, and digital image manipulation and archiving.
Assembles similar relevant exams and reportsDocuments initial and
ongoing data, interventions, responses/results, or interventions
consistent with established
policies/procedures/guidelinesParticipates as an active team
memberOrients and mentors new employees and studentsParticipates in
department/facility process/quality improvement initiativesAssumes
responsibility for personal and professional development to ensure
current knowledge required for positionCleans and maintains rooms
and suppliesCorrectly operates equipment according to accepted
standards and guidelines and according to manufacturers Information
for UseIdentifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure
equipment is in working order according to Department
guidelinesAcquires technical competency as new technology is
introduced into the facilityCorrectly operates and optimizes the
use of equipment nad executes downtime
proceduresQualifications:Required:Education at a level to be ARDMS
registry eligible, including successful completion of sonography
clinical requirementsARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT
(S) registered within 90 days of employmentBasic Life Support -
from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current
before date of hireAdditional registrations may be required for
specific locations based on the sites accreditations (for example:
ACR, AIUM, IAC) and/or regulatory requirementsPreferred:Graduate of
an accredited ultrasound programARDMS registered in multiple
