Minnesota Medical Center location in Minneapolis, MN.At University

looking for an Ultrasound Technologist to join our team!Schedule:
This position will be work a 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks).
Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 3PM to 11PM on the
evening, shift. Weekends as needed.Benefits: This position is

more!Responsibilities/Job Description:The Technologist position
provides services to patients and physicians through the creation
of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient exam
ordered. Responsible for meeting the established standards of
practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for
coordinating teamwork with all the members of the health care
team.Performs diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms
examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely mannerVerifies
patient identification and documentationReviews physician order
prior to exam or procedureCommunicates pertinent information to the
appropriate healthcare professional.Achieves quality diagnostic
images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical
factors according to protocolCommunicates with and educates patient
regarding pertinent information during all aspects of
examRecognizes structures visualized and understands their
significanceAccurately produces and records measurements according
to protocolsAccurately conveys initial findings and clinical data
to radiologistsParticipates in crafting a culture of patient
safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for
facilityEnsures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer
functions, edits, scheduling, billing, and status changes in a
timely fashionPerforms accurate image identification, record
preparation, and digital image manipulation and archivingAssembles
similar relevant exams and reportsDocuments initial and ongoing
data, interventions, responses/results, or interventions consistent
with established policies/procedures/guidelinesParticipates as an
active team memberOrients and mentors new employees and
studentsParticipates in department/facility process/quality
improvement initiativesAssumes responsibility for personal and
professional development to ensure current knowledge required for
positionCleans and maintains rooms and suppliesAccepts outstanding
customer service expectations in ImagingCorrectly operates
equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines and
according to manufacturers Information for UseIdentifies and
responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is in working
order according to Department guidelinesAcquires technical
proficiency as new technology is introduced into the
facilityCorrectly operates and optimizes the use of equipment and
implements downtime proceduresQualifications:Required:Education at
a level to be ARDMS registry eligible, including successful
completion of sonography clinical requirementsARDMS registered in
one specialty or ARRT RT (S) registered within 90 days of
employmentAdditional registrations may be required for specific
locations based on the sites accreditations (for example: ACR,
AIUM, IAC) and/or regulatory requirementsBasic Life Support - from
American Red Cross or American Heart Association and
currentPreferred:Graduate of an accredited ultrasound programARDMS
registered in multiple specialtiesby Jobble
