Description:EVENSON CONCRETE SYSTEMS has an immediate openings for Concrete Finishers!The Concrete Finisher is responsible for ensuring quality finishing techniques on each project, while ensuring overall project quality, safety and completion while representing ECS's vision, mission and standards.Essential Duties:Complete the day-to-day concrete field operations for the project while meeting management and customer objectives for safety, quality, and scheduleSafely and efficiently operate hand and power tools of all types ensuring that equipment is in good working orderComplete finishing work with a high degree of skill and professionalism ensuring that the requirements of the project are metMonitor how the wind, heat, or cold, effect concrete throughout the entire processFollow directions, schedules and requirements from Project Foreman or SuperintendentSpread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float according to grade and depth of specificationMold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, straightedge and wet cutter and saws to help control crackingForm, place and finish all types of concrete to the desired finished product required by plans and specificationsEssential Areas of Responsibility:Adhere to all Company safety policies, OSHA policies and other applicable safety standardsResponsible for efficient utilization of labor, equipment, materials and other resourcesRepresent Company in a professional and positive manner at all times during working hours and on job-sitesProactively communicate with team on all matters that impact project quality, safety, resource utilization and project stages / timelinesRequirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:5 + years experience in concrete finishing for both residential and commercial projectsAble to manage performance with a high degree of competency in concrete finishingStrong knowledge of current construction means, methods and procedures and be able to direct others to perform to these standardsMust be able to read and interpret plans, specifications and shop drawingsAbility to travel to job sites as requiredValid Driver's LicensePersonal accountability and responsibility with excellent follow-throughPositive attitude, collaborative and adept at every changing priorityPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds on a frequent basisMust be able to stand, bend, stoop and reach on a prolonged and continual basisMust have good stamina, vision, eye hand coordination and ability to estimate size and dimensionsMust wear required PPE at all times and follow all safety requirementsMust be able to climb stairs, work from heights on ladders or scaffolding and move throughout the jobsiteMust be able to efficiently and effectively operate manual and electrically powered tools, sprayers and construction related equipment utilizing full range of physical motionMental Demands:Ability to simultaneously address multiple complex priorities and problemsWork under high pressure and safety sensitive situations in a positive and collaborative mannerAbility to exercise independent judgement and make decisions related to the finishing process and timingAnalyze, interpret and utilize data and technical informationWorking Conditions:Adheres to the time and attendance requirements as established by the Project Foreman or SuperintendentOutdoor conditions vary depending on weather and season, this position works year roundVarious job sites with varying conditions from inside to outdoors in areas that are dusty, dirty or noisy, or which could have work hazardsEvenson Concrete Systems provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.PId59c9c36f2b6-25660-33906064
