Burnett Dairy Cooperative - Shred Operator Location: Grantsburg, WIBusiness Unit: DairyDepartment: ShredSupervisor: Shred SupervisorSupervises: N/A Position Purpose: This position supports the Shred department to include, but not limited to pulling cheese for production, operate shred machinery, pulling bags of cheese off conveyor, cleaning and sanitizing all machinery/tools/shred room, and recordkeeping. Steady standing, lifting, and stretching are required. Must be able to work as part of a team in a changing work environment.Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

• Pull cheese from bins to be shredded.
• Operate shred machinery.
• Open and discard rejected bags.
• Box full bags of cheese.
• Clean and sanitize all machinery, tools, walls, and floor of the shred room.
• Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping cheese and trash removal.
• Fill out all necessary production reports.
• Follow all safety guidelines including the use of required personal protective equipment to ensure health and safety of self and others.
• All other duties appropriate for the position.Qualifications:
  • Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 Pounds; Push/Pull/Stack up to 30 Pounds
  • Ability to work in a cold environment (40 degrees).
  • Stand on feet for entire shift
  • Repetitive Motion; frequent use of hands
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch
    • Skills
    • Good verbal communication skills and legible handwriting
    • Ability to function in an active and demanding work environment
      • Availability
      • Availability requirements include; days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
