seeking a Traveling Superintendent to join our team.Hours/Schedule:
Full-time
opportunity, Monday-Friday (Must be flexible based on business
needs)Work environment: 100% Onsite

is
responsible for supervising the field construction of the project,
including
its organization, planning, and scheduling in order for the
project's
completion on time, within budget, and to the quality specified.
This position
provides supervision and coordinates and monitors the activities of
subcontractors,
Job Foremen, suppliers, labor and materials. What you'll do:
Projects are
to be completed on schedule and the construction quality should be
such
that it meets Company standards while maintaining a safe
working
environment.
Directs Job Foreman,
while maintaining timely communication on the project.
Timely provide
all paperwork, as specified, to the Project Manager throughout the
project
and upon completion.
Inform the
Project Manager of all absences, tardiness and all disciplinary
issues.
Inform Project
Manager daily regarding scheduling issues and potential cost
changes.
Ability to
read and understand civil, structural, architectural and equipment
prints.
Supervise
daily/weekly scheduling and safety meetings with appropriate
personnel.
Forecast labor
requirements for the project and provide this information to the
Project
Manager at least two weeks in advance of your needs.
Always be
forward looking in anticipating potential materials, labor and
scheduling
issues.
Review pending
change orders from Subcontractors and submit same to Project
Manager for
prior approval before beginning the requested work.
Complete work
logs and deliver to the Project Manager daily.
Verify the
time cards of general laborers.
Communicate
all labor and subcontractor issues to the Project Manager in a
timely
manner.
Perform all
work according to VSI processes/procedures and policies.
Forward all
appropriate safety related paperwork to the Safety Director.
Schedule and
be present for all inspections.
Work with city
officials on all matters as needed.
Our ideal
candidate:
Four years of
Construction Industry schooling or equivalent.
Leadership,
communication training.
Computer
background in Windows 2000, Office 2000, e-mail, internet knowledge
and
Sage 100.
High level in
carpentry skills and problem solving skills.
Very high
level of Leadership and Communications skills.
Ability to
organize, manage, and see through to completion construction
schedules.
Passing grade
of 70% on the VSI Math test.
Six years of
experience in overseeing projects on a superintendent level.
Four years of
experience in working with commercial construction.
Experience in
Safety Toolbox Talks and in depth understanding of construction
site safety
issues.
Ability to
lift and move repeatedly 60 lbs.
Able to
physically perform a wide range of construction tasks.
Valid drivers
license and transportation.
Ability to
operate equipment and lifts on the job sites.
