festivals. Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the
Production Manager, the Production Superintendent, will have the
responsibility for meeting objectives related to Safety, Quality,
Production Key Performance Indicators, employee safety & retention,
and enforcement of company policy. This position will also lead and
support continuous improvement programs and the development of
individuals within their organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all aspects of product manufacturingDevelop and/or
maintain the programs necessary to ensure all employees are
properly trained in order to meet company objectives relating to
human safety, product quality and food safety, human relations and
professional developmentDirectly supervises and coordinates
salaried supervisor roles including goal setting, evaluating
performance, hiring and terminatingSupports and implements employee
relations programs with the objective of improving employee
engagement and moraleWorking with Production Managers, this
position will lead and participate in plant and corporate
continuous improvement programs and teamsAssures and enforce
production activities are in compliance with company policies and
procedures to include good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
environmental, quality control standards and safety
complianceEnsures a safe work environment is maintained Working
with Processing Managers, this position will schedule staff and
assigns duties to meet production needsResponds quickly to
unexpected interruptions in the production processInterpret and
react as necessary to hourly, daily, weekly monthly reports
(RedZone, financial performance, retention, safety dashboards,
etc.), Adhere to department and plant budgetsDevelops and
implements cost-effective manufacturing processes through process
improvements or capital ideasCooperates and work with all
departments to assure a coordinated work relationship exist at all
timesKeeps management informed on any operational, safety, quality
or personnel issuesDirect interaction with regulatory
inspectors.Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local laws,
and regulations associated with food processing.Ability to work
cross functionally with all levels of the organizationDemonstrates
strong collaborative leadership with peers, supervisors, hourly
workforce to drive results Continuously strives for world class
levels of performance and execution; develops and challenges staff
to continuously improve and deliver higher levels of
performanceCreates a culture of teamwork across all levels of the
organization and departmentsDemonstrates in depth knowledge of
plant financials and manages business appropriatelyDevelops
personnel and teams, drives natural work team, continuous
improvement processes and demonstrates knowledge of organizational
change principlesLead, mentors and ensures effective analysis and
corrective actionsDrives improvements in training effectiveness In
order to promote a manufacturing environment that is safe and
efficient for both personnel and food, the ability to effectively
communicate in basic English (both verbal and written) is required.
This includes the ability to speak, read and comprehend safety
instructions, rules and warnings for self and others in both normal
and emergency situations. Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Food
Sciences, and/or equivalent combination of education, training and
experience. 5+ years of food processing or consumer packaged goods
and supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education,
and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential
duties of the jobExperience with continuous manufacturing
processesExperience working collaboratively with all levels of
employeesExperience development and implementing a positive
employee relations processMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint)Ability to be on call and work extended or after hours
as needed
