Job Description:
Job Description: Assist in all aspects of order scheduling,
batching, ordering and production schedule creation throughout
Koozie Group's Red Wing Facility. Assists the Master Scheduler
responsible for developing and executing production plans to meet
customer expectations, maintain inventory levels of finished goods
and meet company objectives. Scheduling Lead will specialize in one
of two value streams with the expectation to cross train into the
other value stream to assist when needed.
Hours: 5am to 1pm or 8am to 4pm
Duties:
Assist Master Scheduler with scheduling tasks on a day-to-day
basis.
Manage the daily schedules and assist with the answering of Quoting
and Rush Requests.
Help to coordinate the completion of the production schedule 3x
daily.
Assist in assuring schedules will ensure continuous plant
operations and prevent plant downtime to minimize profit
losses.
Identify and resolve any issues caused by deviations in the
schedule to enable continuous operations in the plant.
Review prior day reports to ensure orders were successfully
completed.
Track execution of the production plan. Monitor schedule
deviations, and coordinate with the value stream schedulers to
develop, communicate, and implement corrective actions to ensure
schedule completion.
Notify Customer Service and all related groups of any shortages and
manage best path forward for schedule changes.
Create and manage work orders to produce semi-finished goods and
New Product testing.
Manage inventory levels of select semi-finished goods and
facilitate the ordering/creation of more stock at key inventory
levels through MIN/MAX planning.
Create daily report outs to Value Stream leadership on current
schedule/production status to improve operations planning.
Batch orders in accordance with the production schedule.
Facilitate the ordering of inventory from the warehouse in
accordance with the production schedule.
Qualifications:
Ability to work in a team environment
Good fundamental math skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task
Well organized and detail oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting schedules and
deadlines with a time driven sense of urgency
Problem-solving skills
Able to follow directions
Self-motivated individual
Ability to recommend and implement solutions
Ability to use and understand computers and programs at a
proficient level.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows-based applications.
Requirements:
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift, up to 15 pounds frequently.
Must be able to walk from one end of the plant to the other
multiple times each shift with ease.
Must be able to safely work in a production environment.
Must be proficient working with computers.
Preferred Experience/Other Desirable Qualifications:
Prior planning experience/Oracle experience preferred but not
required.
Experience working with Excel preferred but not required.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility.
