We are looking for a motivated candidate with an energetic can-do attitude and an awesome attendance record. Previous experience is not required, WILL TRAIN!
JOB PURPOSE: Perform plating tasks from set-up, coating, and finishing per customer specifications
WORK SCHEDULE: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday (Overtime as needed)
PAY: $21.50 + $1.00 shift differential = $22.50 per hour, paid weekly + $3500 Sign-On Bonus!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sets up and controls plating equipment to coat metal objects to provide protective surfaces according to specifications
• Process line documents and ensure baths are at operable conditions
• Reads work order to determine specific plating instructions
• Follows instructions from job routings and supervisory personnel when running jobs to produce quality parts while maintaining desired production levels
• Process product in suitable cleaning and rinsing baths
• Process product in plating solution for the suitable amount of time required
• Removes plated product from solution at periodic intervals and inspects product to ensure conformance to customer specifications
• Checks work regularly to ensure parts meet customer specifications
• Completes all required paperwork for each job
• Other duties and responsibilities as assignedMinimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-2 years of Plater in Training experience
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Forklift experience with certification preferredRequired Skills:
    • Ability to process product with little to no direction at times, all substrate required
    • Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions
    • Basic math and geometry for figuring square footage of parts and racks, and amperage requirements for plating thickness
    • Ability to retain information and repeat the process
    • Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record
    • Fluency in reading, writing and speaking the English language
    • Good hand/eye coordination
    • Ability to lift and move 1-50 lbs.
    • Ability to interact with co-workers and supervisors in a cooperative mannerWorking Conditions:Similar to a warehouse, production, manufacturing industry
      • Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes
      • Often wet or humid due to heated cleaning and plating tanks containing caustic and acidic solutions
      • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles and heat
