Description Position at Clear Capital As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing clear direction and guidance to a team of individuals whose primary tasks include creating, assigning, and following up on appraisal orders to ensure the delivery of high-quality products at reasonable fees as quickly as possible for our customers. Your success is measured by the success of your individual team members as well as the performance of your team toward customer expectations, agreed-upon product performance and P targets in alignment with department goals. You will work with Management within the department to ensure optimal performance and efficiency throughout this process. You are responsible for developing, coaching and holding team members accountable to expectations. A successful candidate will be organized, energetic and driven to continue to find improvements for themselves, their team and the Appraisal Department.Success MeasuresTurn Around TimeOn-Time PercentageC & R BleedCost Per UnitTime in status: Not Yet Ordered, Solicited, and AcceptedQuality of Department ActionsWhat you will work onEnsure the team is meeting agreed-upon product performance and P targets in alignment with department goals and success measures identified aboveManage the flow of day-to-day operations on the team. Monitor the pipeline and ensure resources are allocated appropriately to meet Service Levels and Customer expectationsProactively identify risks to service levels and implement immediate and long term solutions to improve performanceHandle escalated files, proactively communicating with stakeholders through resolutionNegotiate fees and turn times with appraisers on escalated or unique filesConduct appraiser coaching to improve performanceQuickly recognize roadblocks and implement solutions to effectively move files forwardMake financially responsible decisions, approve escalated fee requests, and hold the team accountable to vendor compensation targetsMonitor team member productivity and team workload to ensure sufficient coverage is available to meet Service Level Agreements and customer expectations; adjusting plans and resources as business and team needs necessitate.Establish individual team member goals, regularly conduct reviews of employee performance and hold direct reports accountable to meeting the expectations of their roleMotivate and develop direct reports to increasing levels of responsibility by providing formal and informal training, empowering them to make business decisions that align with the team and department goals, and delegating projects with clear goals and deadlinesProperly prioritize expectations for self and team to ensure timely completion of all work assignments, training, meetings, and performance management activitiesPartner with training specialists to ensure processes are sound and expectations align with department goals and customer expectationsMake decisions in personnel-related matters including but not limited to: hiring, performance (productivity/quality, availability, conduct), promotions, terminations, etc.Proactively support the department by participating in projects, analyzing data to identify trends in appraiser, product, market and/or customer performance and provide recommendations to improve performanceConduct audits to ensure proper processes and procedures are being met in accordance with policyEnsure the team is in compliance with all legal, regulatory, customer, and Clear Capital requirementsWho we are looking forPossesses a comprehensive understanding of the skills and behaviors required and applies them consistently to achieve goalsConsistently demonstrates skills to drive business strategy and enhance Clear Capital's reputationDemonstrates high levels of effort, effectiveness and judgment with very limited or no supervisionA strong, independent leader who demonstrates self-accountability, supports the team and is comfortable navigating with ambiguityComprehensive experience mentoring staff to increasing levels of responsibility and supporting career developmentAbility to lead by example; consistently demonstrating exceptional service skills and behaviors in all interactionsDisplays initiative and drive in completing overall objectives of the department or organizationDemonstrated ability to seek out continuous and on-going improvementConsistently contributes to OT during volume spikesWhat You Can Expect Competitive compensation and immediate contribution!Inclusive benefits package offerings 401k plans and customizable benefits including dental, vision, medical, etc. for you and your dependents.
