Are you are progressive machining engineer who possesses a
passion for process improvement, high speed machining and tight
tolerances? If so, we have an awesome opportunity! We are seeking a
highly skilled Process Engineer, Machining for our state of-the-
art CNC Machining Group! Position Highlights: Visibility - Work
closely with Production personnel and other department heads to
improve machining capability. Challenge - Work with Machining
Engineers, Leads, Scheduling, and other Production departments to
create new and innovative solutions increasing volume and quality.
Position Responsibilities: Improve machine reliability, process and
reduce cost. Start up of new machines and automations.
Troubleshooting of process issues. G&M code programming. Make
corrections and update drawings together with the design
department. Resolve quality problems in collaboration with the
Quality Assurance Department. Project management and process
development of new parts or design changes. Statistical planning
during part development phase. Investigate design proposals for
improving equipment performance or to obtain data for development,
standardization, and quality control. Estimates production times
and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confers with management, engineering, and other Departments
regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and
other considerations to facilitate production processes. Familiar
with the 10 Step Problem Solving Process and Root Cause Analysis.
Planning and improving production results with regards to safety,
quality, and scrap. Training of workforce (CNC Operators /
Machinists) in process and machine operation. Development of new
production processes with Defined Machine Layouts. Development of
quality inspection plans together with the corresponding team.
Development of work instructions and set-up standards. Assumes
additional related responsibilities as required. Desired Skills and
Experience 4 year college degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or
related discipline. 1-3 years of related experience with CNC
machining process, equipment, and materials. Experience with
automation in a high volume manufacturing environment. 1-3 years of
experience in High Speed Screw Machining equipment.
