Provide leadership and direction to a team of technical professionals dedicated to the development, delivery, and operations of identity access managment and information security best practices and technical solutions. Lead activities to provide best in class identity and security tools for appropriate access, protection, confidentiality, integrity and availability of enterprise systems and data for effective security controls. Oversee and participate in the planning and implementation of IAM and security technology projects. Serve as point-person and subject matter expert for issues and projects related to area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience leading identity and security tools to effectively support corporate compliance policies with legal and regulatory statutes.
  • Strong presentation skills with proven ability to successfully interface with and influence at all levels (executives and technical staff).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to effectively deliver technical information to non-technical audiences.


  • Work with the business and across technology to develop, implement, drive and optimize identity access management, governance, security solutions, methodologies, policies and/or practices. Provide work direction, delegation, and prioritization to team. Ensure compliance with company's policies, processes and procedures. Ensure successful project design, configuration, performance, implementation and outstanding service delivery. Oversee the technical correctness and completeness of artifacts/documentation associated with engineering designs; pro-actively identify and resolve issues/problems. Provide proper escalation to leadership for issues/problems as necessary. Evaluate, troubleshoot and participate in root-cause analysis of development and test environment issues within technical area(s) of expertise. Once corrective action is identified, lead respective team to implement changes/improvements in designs/builds as necessary to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct risk analysis and contribute to the prioritization of identity access management, governace, security solutions initiatives based on risk and business need. Weigh business needs against security concerns, make recommendations and clearly articulate options (including benefits and risks) to business partners, decision makers and key stakeholders. Lead solution design and delivery to address risks/vulnerabilities, meet requirements/needs of the business and ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory mandates and requirements. Effectively oversee multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to an identity and security capability team (may include employees, contract personnel and/or vendor partners and their resources). Effectively manage team work load and ensure knowledge sharing and cross-training of team members to effectively support the business and execute on team/function deliverables. Provide thought leadership and significant influence to the continuous improvement of processes, policies and best practices to optimize performance and availability of technologies. Drive and develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes. Foster a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable.
  • Continuously develop specialized knowledge and technical subject matter expertise by remaining apprised of industry trends, the direction of emerging technologies, and their potential value to the business. Effectively present the value proposition of business-appropriate emerging technologies to technology leadership. Gain and maintain a broad understanding of business, business needs, and how assigned technologies/domain drive and support the business.
  • Maintain current expertise in identity access management and information security technology, methodology, tools, threats/vulnerabilities, news and regulatory changes. Research and evaluate products and/or procedures and make recommendations in the selection and implementation of tools and best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the business and technology teams to credibly and collaboratively drive identity access management and information security practices and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Technology Forensics or related field.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in roles with increasing responsibility in the technical fields of information security and/or identity management or security applications.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success and expertise in identity access management or information security methodology, concepts, and analysis/monitoring.
  • 2+ years of (direct or indirect) leadership experience, including demonstrated success leading teams to delivery of technical solutions.
  • Broad technical experience including systems analysis, application development, networking, and database design and administration.
