Position Overview

With supervisory oversight, serves the US Markets & Latin America businesses, with focus on the Group Re division, in support of business development and marketing-related activities. Assists in creating thought leadership content, managing and leading business event execution, producing sales proposals, developing client & broker meeting preparation materials, coordinating marketing campaigns, and producing and implementing marketing programs (e.g., promotional mailings, advertising campaigns, cross-selling efforts, etc.). Tracks new business activity and prospect logs, and provides updates to the requisite team members.


  • In support of the US Markets business and marketing strategy, aid in the in the development and execution of the US Markets marketing strategy, which includes USMM, USIH, and the Group Re Healthcare divisional marketing strategy. Supports event strategy and execution, the production and implementation of marketing programs and thought leadership pieces, including the development of marketing materials, sell sheets, newsletters, research bulletins, etc.
  • Assists in the planning and coordination of Group Re Healthcare client events and industry-sponsored meetings. Assists event owners and planners in site selection, operational logistics, tracking budgets, and providing on-site event management and client-needs support, as necessary.
  • Assists in the preparation of customized presentations and marketing materials for broker and prospect meetings, including distributing trip and call notes, and formatting/drafting indicative proposals as necessary. Coordinates the development and creation of client and broker meeting preparation materials, such as running agendas, executive summaries, client profiles, etc.
  • Serves as a CMS Team liaison to business development and leadership. Delivers on a variety of business and marketing initiatives. Develops and maintains constructive, beneficial working relationships with internal and external clients. Acts proactively and continues to increase working knowledge of internal functions and activities as related to business development and client activity.
  • Participates in Group Re Healthcare account management, new business, and marketing meetings, and maintains active status log and agendas working closely with the Healthcare business line SVPs. Updates and maintains new business/prospect log based on feedback from respective team(s). Assists with meeting follow-ups, as needed.
  • Contributes to the development of new processes or enhancement of existing processes that support the traditional and Healthcare business development activities in an even more efficient, effective manner.
  • Assists with the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of information on the divisional SharePoint site as a resource for business development activity and tools, client sites and research, as applicable.
  • Update sales-related systems, such as CRM, and provide regular updates to business development team and leadership relative to content updates, client interactions, and sales leads, as applicable.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in business development and/or marketing
  • 5 years of experience in the financial services industry


  • Advanced degree and/or certification, such as MBA, FLMI, or CLU
  • Progress towards FLMI, ALHC, or other relevant professional accreditation



  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate understanding of the US health insurance and reinsurance markets
  • Intermediate skills in customer relationship management and change management
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Intermediate investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set applicable goals
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
  • Ability to travel domestically (<10%)
