Clinican Researcher-Faculty position in the Division of
The Department of Medicine, Division of Integrative Health at
Hennepin Healthcare System (HHS) in downtown Minneapolis is seeking
a full-time faculty position for a physician (MD/DO/DC) whose
research expertise focuses on the prevention and/or improving
outcomes for patients with chronic diseases using integrative
health strategies and interventions.
Research experience is required as well as demonstrated ability
to compete for Federal research grant support (e.g., K or R level
Methodologic expertise in a diverse spectrum of any one or more
areas will be considered for this position (e.g., Primary care,
Oncology, Weight Management, Chronic Pain and Addiction, Women's
health, Cardiovascular Diseases, ProvIder Wellness, Inflammation,
Movement Therapies, Mind-Body interventions, Group Medical visits,
The position includes up to five years of 75% protected time for
research, with the remaining time dedicated to clinical and

The successful candidate will join a robust and expanding
integrative health program across the health system.
HHS has a strong track record in Integrative Health and was the
first hospital in the Twin Cities to have established an
'Alternative Medicine clinic' 30 years ago and participated in the
first NIH study on PTSD and acupuncture.
We now have 16 Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH)
providers and several board certified integrative medicine
physicians practicing throughout the health system.
The Department of Medicine is led by the Chair Dr. Arti Prasad,
who herself has a strong record of expertise in developing
integrative health initiatives. Under her leadership, new
integrative health programs have been established at HHS including
an Integrative Medicine in Residency (IMR) track.
Strong research collaborations are possible in the Twin Cities
with the Penny George Instute for Health and Healing at Allina
Health and with the Center of Spirituality at the University of
Minnesota, as well as the Mayo Clinic.
HHS is the safety net hospital for the Minneapolis area and a
major teaching affiliate of the University of Minnesota, located 10

their cognate department.
The recruit is eligible for an 'Academic Track' faculty position
at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
