Novaspect, a leading provider of industrial automation and improved process performance and reliability, is offering an opportunity for a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) Application Engineer in support of Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation. This position will be based in either our Schaumburg, IL or Chanhassen, MN locations. Novaspect is an Emerson Impact Partner with an 85 year history of developing process automation and reliability solutions for major industrial manufacturers in the upper Midwest. We are seeking an individual to help us to expand our MES/MOM solution capabilities.

We are looking for a candidate excited to deploy MES/MOM solutions. The MES Application Engineer is a customer facing individual responsible for deploying real time MES/MOM solutions in multiple segments of the Industrial marketplace along with the HVAC/Institutional industry. The successful candidate will assist our current and future customers with application of MES/MOM solutions in support of their overall Digital Transformation strategy and to improve their Manufacturing Performance. He/she will interact with customers to understand their specific requirements and lead the design, delivery, training and optimization of MES/MOM components and functions.

The scope of solutions are centered with Emerson's Syncade, Parsec's TrakSYS, and Eschbach's Shiftconnector platforms along with complementary 3rd Party platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with our customers to:
• Build a trusted relationship by applying your own unique passion and candor
• Understand their goals and obstacles being faced
• Gather information to scope MES/MOM solutions that best meet their needs and goals
• Design and implement MES/MOM applications
• Perform testing of MES/MOM applications being prepared for deployment
• Provide applicable training for relevant personas/users
• Provide an ongoing communication channel to ensure customer expectations are well understood
• Manage customer expectations so there is a clear understanding of technological capabilities and limitations
• Work at customer facilities and comply with their safety rules
• Work to grow Novaspect
• Maintain awareness of evolving MES/MOM industry standards & trends and share with team members
• Develop new opportunities and enhancements to existing systems and deliverables
• Work as a team
• Provide system troubleshooting and resolve problems individually or by utilizing your internal resources
• Help colleagues as they encounter situations they are not as familiar with
• Work independently and as part of a team supporting a customer
• Work as a team with internal and external sales to sell solutions
• Provide clear and frequent communications
• Perform necessary troubleshooting remotely
• Create in-depth and professional engineering proposals and reports
• Author whitepapers on engineering subjects
• Converse with other industry experts about technical concepts
• Deliver presentations to external and internal customers
• Articulate and communicate engineering and solutions to both engineers and non-engineers

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Automation, Analytics, Engineering or equivalent
• Some knowledge and experience with data integration and messaging protocols (REST API, MQTT, OPC-UA, XML, JSON, etc.)
• 2 to 3 years of applicable experience
• Field application experience with industrial automation desirable

Additional Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of the Emerson, Parsec, Eschbach, or similar offerings a plus
• Own and maintain an individual learning and development plan
• Participate in continuous learning (latest technologies)
• Travel up to 25%

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Ability to work extended hours on a computer
• Ability to work in a loud industrial environment
