The person in this role will be responsible for day-to-day work in support of Barr's Microsoft 365 services, including supporting end-users and providing guidance and direction on available solutions within the Microsoft 365 suite. The person in this position will champion the implementation and adoption of Microsoft 365 services and applications by collaborating with stakeholders to implement a Microsoft 365 roadmap and supporting program. This role requires participating in and managing Microsoft 365 projects and will include:

  • Collaborating with other IT staff, stakeholders, and communication team members to ensure successful results
  • Leading requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders
  • Effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical business and executive leaders
  • Identifying appropriate lifecycle methods for projects and managing the design, build, test, and rollout phases to minimize post-go-live issues and optimize user experience
  • Migrating current systems and processes into Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online

Additionally, the person in this position is responsible for the long-term supportability, scalability, security, and usability of the Microsoft 365 environment. This will be accomplished by:

  • Maintaining a highly secure environment through proper configuration and system access monitoring
  • Creating end-user training and reference documents
  • Maintaining a proactive understanding of upcoming platform changes to assist with user change management and issue mitigation
  • Managing issues and enhancement requests
  • Developing SharePoint Online sites and Microsoft Teams for domain users and external client access
  • Researching, debugging, and solving Microsoft 365 platform technical problems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or business, or 3 years of equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts of information management
  • 2 or more years of experience with information management and enterprise content management systems (i.e., SharePoint)
  • Working knowledge of multiple Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint Online, Teams, Forms, OneDrive, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.
  • Experience configuring SharePoint Online sites, libraries, and lists; workflows; forms; and user permissions
  • Demonstrated program and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop strong working relationships with stakeholders, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong task management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate across multiple stakeholder groups, including executive leaders
  • High degree of focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery, with strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SharePoint migrations
  • Experience with JSON or HTML a plus
