We offer five core solutions: Organizational StrategyAssessment and SuccessionTalent AcquisitionLeadership DevelopmentRewards and Benefits The Role Korn Ferry is seeking a Principal Consultant to join the Leadership Development Solution Area of its Advisory Practice. We are seeking an expert to design our high impact leadership development programs as well as deliver coaching and/or cohort program facilitation. As a delivery-focused principal, your primary focus is to manage and deliver work at the highest level of quality. Your experience within Leadership Development enables success in leading and structuring complex engagements. With clients, you create trusted, collaborative relationships by managing needs, expectations and the environment. Contributions to new business development focus on structuring the solution, pricing and establishing oneself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with internal colleagues and external clients. Candidates will have proven experience in leadership development solution design, program facilitation, and broad talent management program implementation as an external consultant, as part of a leading consulting firm or an internal corporate role with stakeholder management experience. Key Accountabilities Responsibilities include leadership development delivery (e.g. program facilitation, solution design, and/or executive coaching), client engagement management, business development, and contributing to the L community of practice. A typical breakdown of focus areas is provided below: Leadership Development Delivery (60%)Deliver leadership development programs for Korn Ferry clients. Our program designs may include large and small group facilitation, virtual instructor-led sessions, assessment debrief and individual coaching sessions. Seamlessly partner with Korn Ferry co-facilitators and integrate internal client speakers and outside experts. Design leadership development programs and develop materials including conducting interviews and diagnosis, identifying program objectives, developing learning architecture, and instructional design (workbooks, slides, facilitator guides, ppts). Currently, all work is done virtually using various platforms (e.g. Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom). In the future, when corporate travel resumes, typical programs may be residential 1-4 day programs with 25-35 participants. Locations are diverse and client dependent. Client Engagement Management (25%)Develop and/or support engagement structure, plan, resource needs and definition of deliverables and outcomes. Engagements may span multiple service lines and would typically involve managing multiple consultants from other offices/countries. Typical timescales could be 6-12 months Build productive relationships with engagement and client team members setting clear expectations, direction and asking for feedback when appropriate Grow and manage knowledge of engagement economics to ensure accurate scope, margin and profitability of work Partner with internal KF functions to resource delivery talent, manage contract-to-cash activities, track profitability and ensure high quality delivery Apply operational discipline to all aspects of sales and delivery using internal systems and reporting Business Development (10%)Look for ways to build new client relationships e.g. active networking, asking for referrals, partnering across KF lines of business. Leverage insights to define, recommend and /or co-create strategic solutions for the clients. Contribute to winning profitable business by proposal writing, pricing, shaping opportunities, pitch preparation and opportunity spotting in clients. Assess the needs of large/complex clients, designing and delivering solutions to meet their needs. Contribute to L Solution Community (5%)Mentor consultants, project managers and operations team. Give and receive feedback performance improvement and appreciative feedback. Actively contribute to the global LD community by sharing best practices and participating in community forums. Skills & Experience Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Graduate, Doctorate or equivalent) preferredMinimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience in a top tier professional services firm and/or an internal functionUnderstand the leadership and organizational issues faced by business leaders, with ability to engage as a peer, act as a trusted advisor and place proposed services in their business situation or context Leadership Development solution-specific qualifications Professional training as a business coach (e.g. ICF certification or coaching institute)Proven track record of success in leadership development and coaching in a corporate environment, ideally working in the capacity of an external consultant who needs to quickly establish credibility and rapport.Experience conducting a needs analysis and then designing talent management, assessment and LD solutions to achieve the desired organizational objectives/needs.Knowledgeable about talent management, leadership development and assessment trends and best practices for designing high impact solutions.
