seeking an Inventory Analyst to join their team. JOB DUTIES: The
Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in monitoring and
maintaining appropriate levels of both common and special inventory
for the branch. Specific job duties include: Review the forecasts
of major customers and takes appropriate actions to ensure
appropriate stock levels. Review orders placed by Corporate
Purchasing Department and Transfer Shipments from other branch
locations. Managing aging inventory. Monitor open POs for the
possibility of canceling or moving out; expedite as necessary.
Determine if mill overages will be accepted and handle already
received overages. Update stock screen memos and reserves.
Communicates effectively with the transportation personnel. Acts as
backup for the Account Coordinators as needed. Performs other
duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates will
have a minimum of 3-5 years of business-related experience - metals
industry preferred. This position requires an aggressive
self-starter who is goal-oriented and a team player. The successful
candidate must possess proven analytical skills, advanced knowledge
of MS Excel, high attention to detail, and effective communication
skills. A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field of study is
