We are seeking a seasoned Manager, Transportation, to oversee our delivery and distribution operations ensuring timely service and quality control to uphold our commitments to customers nationwide. This role involves strategic route planning, fleet management, regulatory compliance, and leadership of transportation teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of logistics operations within the food service industry, demonstrating a capability to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency. Develop and implement efficient route planning systems to minimize delivery times and costs. Manage the entire fleet's maintenance schedule to ensure all vehicles are in peak operational condition. Lead, train, and evaluate transportation team members to enforce safety and performance standards. Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Collaborate with other department managers to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, and warehouse operations. Monitor delivery processes to assess overall performance and identify areas for improvement. Manage the transportation budget, forecast expenditures, and analyze financial objectives.
