Job Description:

Our busy law firm is growing and we are looking for talent that works hard to represent our clients well. The prime attorney candidate will work seamlessly with the owner, clients, opposing counsel, court, and administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve clients. If you have excellent communication, research, and writing skills, can easily use today's technology, including Office Suite and Clio, and communicate effectively across all levels, we would love to connect!

Responsibilities:

--- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
--- Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
--- Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
--- Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects
--- Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
--- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
--- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings


Qualifications:

--- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
--- Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
--- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
--- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
--- Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association
--- Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
--- Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
--- Licensed Attorney in good standing in the State of Minnesota or eligible to be licensed
