Job Description:
About Us: Government agencies are under growing pressure to
modernize, yet many still rely on paper-based and disconnected
systems to deliver essential services. SimpliGov helps state and
local governments replace those processes with modern, AI-driven
digital workflows that accelerate service delivery while
maintaining compliance, transparency, and trust. Our long-term
advantage is not just AI features — it is the proprietary,
normalized dataset of how government actually processes work. As
adoption grows, this structured workflow intelligence compounds,
enabling predictive, prescriptive, and eventually outcome-driven AI
capabilities that competitors cannot easily replicate. We are
growing rapidly and looking for talented, high-impact players to
join our team! Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Product
Manager to lead the evolution of SimpliGov’s AI platform —
transforming AI from a productivity assistant into an intelligent,
outcome-driven government operations engine. This role goes beyond
accelerating workflow and form digitization. You will define how
SimpliAI builds and compounds a government-specific data moat,
evolves into purpose-built AI agents, and ultimately powers
intelligent, compliant, and adaptive public-sector service
delivery. You will operate at the intersection of AI, structured
data, UX, and government compliance, and are comfortable leading
complex, ambiguous initiatives that require both strategic clarity
and iterative execution. This is a remote role open to candidates
in the United States. Responsibilities: Own the vision, roadmap,
and prioritization for SimpliGov’s AI platform and intelligent
workflow capabilities. Lead the evolution of SimpliAI from
assistant-level productivity tools to purpose-built AI agents and,
over time, outcome-driven government operations. Define and evolve
the structured government workflow data model that underpins AI
capabilities and strengthens our long-term data moat. Identify
opportunities to convert normalized workflow data into predictive
and prescriptive intelligence across agencies. Lead discovery to
deeply understand agency bottlenecks, staffing constraints, trust
concerns, and compliance requirements related to AI. Partner
closely with Engineering to deliver AI-driven document parsing,
logic inference, workflow generation, verification, and quality
monitoring capabilities. Lead Private Preview strategy in
partnership with Customer Success, ensuring structured feedback
loops and measurable learning. Define requirements that ensure
tenant-level data isolation, anonymized cross-agency learning,
explainability, audit-readiness, and human-in-the-loop controls.
Collaborate with Engineering Program Manager on disciplined feature
flag and exposure governance. Partner with Product Marketing to
support positioning, enablement, and customer education for AI
capabilities. Establish and track success metrics tied to AI
adoption, workflow intelligence quality, automation impact, and
program-level outcomes. Qualifications: 5 years of Product
Management experience in SaaS, platform, or technically complex
products. Experience leading AI/ML-powered or intelligent
automation products. Strong product discovery skills and ability to
translate ambiguity into clear decisions. Experience working
closely with engineering teams on data models, system architecture,
or AI-enabled capabilities. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in gov-tech, civic tech, or
regulated industries. Familiarity with workflow automation, case
management, or low-code/no-code platforms. Experience building
products where trust, transparency, and compliance are critical.
Comfort balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform and
data strategy. What We Offer: Medical, dental, and vision insurance
plans, with significant employer contribution for employees AND
dependents (contributions based on base-level plan; buyup plans
available at additional costs) Company-sponsored life, short-term,
and long-term disability insurance 11 Paid holidays Flexible time
off 401k plan with 4% employer match Monthly stipends for home
