If you are looking to stretch and grow your career our culture will embrace you. -Open up opportunities with HPE.Job Description:Key Responsibiliteis:Design, develop, and integrate features and capabilities for HPE's Slingshot networking product lineWork with development, build, test, and CI groups to integrate software into our test and release processDevelop domain expertise, work cross-functionallyDocument architectures, procedures, and processes in use and contribute to the improvement of the processEvaluate and recommend new technologies and use-cases to bring into the platformWork on advanced path finding initiatives collaborating across teams and partnersCollaborate with customers and support staff to improve documentation, and tools.Qualifications:BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience.Minimum of 3 years experience in networking softwareProficiency in Unix programming, Linux network stack, and Linux kernel modulesExperience with Ethernet/IP networkingExcellent C programming skillsKnowledge of data networking (IP, Ethernet, and related technologies)Ability to work well in a cooperative development team with a commitment to sound software engineering principles.Good written and verbal communications skills.Success working in a fast-paced, changing environment; strong sense of urgencyGreat to Haves:Understanding of High Performance Computing architectures, RDMA networking and the HPC industry a plusExperience with Infiniband interfaces is a plusExperience in systems performance analysis and tuning is a plusKnowledge of operating system architecture, networking and/or file systems is a plus.Ability to research new and emerging technologiesIf you are passionate about developing networking software, have a strong background in C programming, and possess expertise in networking technologies, we encourage you to apply for the Slingshot Networking Software Engineer position.
