Overview: The Internet of Things team at Andersen is looking to expand its capabilities by creating and maintaining micro-service applications that are shop floor facing. Our team's core competency is sensing the shop floor environment via internet connected devices, and then moving that data to a display or your mobile device for real-time actionable insights. Our development cycle to support this effort involves managing fleets of IoT devices and rapid CI/CD coding for nightly deployments. Responsibilities: Understand the customer needs - Meet with Andersen employees that use microservices to understand enhancement needs - Document new functionality asks and estimate the work content requirements Develop and maintain applications using Node-Red - Create 'full stack' microservice apps, such as pulling data from a sensor and pushing to the cloud - Use Andersen-developed NodeJS libraries to connect to machines on the shop floor - Interpret, parse, and enhance the data streams with additional code and connections - Develop webpages that trend, aggregate, and display data - Accept user input from the webpage via buttons and forms - Push the data to the cloud for storage and additional processing Manage app deployment lifecycle - Develop test plans and participate in code reviews - Decide when to promote codebase to test and production - Utilize monitoring tools to review the health of the application at scale Qualifications: - Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript - Experience with Node-Red - Familiar with basic INSERT and UPDATE SQL statements - Experience with Debian based Linux operating systems - Familiar with JIRA and Sprint based development lifecycle - Four-year degree in a technical field - Strong English communication skills - Focused on customer service and positive customer experience CULTURE AND BENEFITS: "Be Orange.
