*This position can be hired at the Engineering Sr. Analyst or Engineering Consultant levels depending on qualifications and experience. Position Summary: The people and technology that power our Affinity Solutions business work in the Affinity Solutions Technology division of Enterprise Technology. As a Software Developer you will work among professionals who are responsible for providing high quality solutions that support the purchase and use of Affinity products. You will leverage engineering best practices and your strong communication skills to do quality work and to drive innovation in a highly collaborative, agile atmosphere. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Perform analysis, design, development, and integration on complex, high level assignments. Execute full stack development to deliver a high-quality product exercising cross-functional skills on a self-organizing agile team. Apply continuous learning from a technology and business perspective, quickly adapting to figure out the problem at hand and propelling the team forward on a solution. Mentor others both on the team and across the division. Manage code repository and provides direction regarding technical health. Qualifications: 5+ years' experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling). Demonstrated experience with Java, Spring, JSF, Gradle, Spring Batch, Hibernate/JPA, REST Services, junit, Git, SQL, DB2, Splunk Experience with complex web applications and backend services. Cloud knowledge and experience - AWS preferred. Inherent curiosity towards new and emerging technologies. Experience with rewriting and patching legacy software applications. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build solid relationships with team members and stakeholders. Knowledge & experience utilizing AWS capabilities (EC2, Serverless, and Lambda, among others). **This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement.** Physical job requirements: Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day Ability to work at least 40 hours per week Ability to utilize telephone for up to 8 hours per day Ability to perform grasping tasks throughout the entire work day (examples: handwriting, grasping of equipment/machines, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, handling stacks of paper) The physical job requirements described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
