The Banquet Captain is responsible for ensuring an exceptional member and guest experience in the club for all events. This is a highly visible, hands-on position that involves being the key liaison to the event planner/host throughout the event as well as continuous training and supervision of service staff. The Banquet Captain works closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, Catering Director, Assistant General Manager, and Culinary Team.Requirements: Expected Hours of Work: Flexible scheduling - Daytime, evening, and weekend hours. This is a full-time, year-round position. Required Education and ExperienceExperience in the Food & Beverage and/or Hospitality Industries.Experience in supervising banquet functions.Must have an exceptional eye for detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to coordinate and direct a team of staff in a pro-active and positive manner. Preferred Education and ExperiencePrevious experience in a similar environment preferred.ServSafe certification preferred.TIPS certification preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervise and direct banquet/event staff.Conduct pre-shift meetings for each event with service staff.
