About the Consulting Team Ovative's Consulting team uses their diverse experience and structured problem-solving skills to solve tough problems every day and have fun while doing it. The team works directly with clients to deliver leading-edge thinking and drive change across four areas of expertise: customer strategy and activation; marketing and media strategy; measurement strategy and activation; and MarTech, AdTech, and data solutions. In addition, Consulting periodically leads internal firm-wide strategy questions to synthesize perspectives, elevate thinking, and raise the bar for what's possible. About this Role In this role, you will serve as a Retail Media Subject Matter Expert for Ovative's rapidly growing consulting business. You will serve as the go-to expert on all RMN topics with an emphasis on the sell-side, specifically advising internal teams and our clients on media inventory, product strategy, process improvement, and pricing benchmarks. You will act as a passionate observer of the RMN marketplace, identifying trends as they develop and communicating your knowledge broadly to help develop Ovative's internal strategic plans and our standing publicly as a leader in the RMN space. During project scoping you will be a key resource in determination of project viability, success criteria, and resourcing.Also in this role, you will be embedded in RMN consulting project teams, working closely with clients to conduct discovery interviews, build assessments of clients' capabilities, design future capabilities, and build improvement plans that position partners for long-term success. You will be able to draw from your own experiences with RMNs and best practices of the day, then apply critical thinking to construct plans that account for the idiosyncrasies and limitations of each unique situation.Finally, in this role you will act as a resource for all Ovative to 'level up' their RMN acumen. This will include co-developing project pitches with Business Development teams, helping us build out our buy-side Media Network practice, proactively pushing updates that inform leaders on trends, and ad hoc questions from all areas of the business. Responsibilities Project Delivery

  • Guide the development of high-quality Retail Media strategy projects by providing subject matter expertise input in problem solving sessions and deliverables
  • Unite understanding of client vision, strategy, and culture with expert perspective on industry dynamics to elevate project work
  • Support and help drive the delivery of relevant RMN-related client engagements by serving as an expert to the Consulting team in multiple team configurations across multiple client engagements
  • Support the Consulting teams driving client engagements, advising, educating, and directing for maximum client impact
  • Design and articulate scope of work in early stages of client engagements, being mindful of desired outcomes, available resources, and time considerations
  • Coach and develop project leads and analyst team members in their overall media and Retail Media expertise, and in their strategic problem-solving toolkitClient Development
    • Build relationships and partner closely with clients to shape an agenda for our support, collaboratively develop proposals, and launch new work or integrate new projects into our ongoing support
    • Assist with proposal development, in partnership with Business Development team and SMEs across Ovative, to create compelling pitches, clarify scope of work, iterate as needed based on client feedback, and win the business
    • Co-develop an approach for building our Retail Media consulting practice, and work with Business Development, Marketing, and other leaders to build the business
    • In partnership with our Media Network team, advise and support the scaling of our emerging Retail Media advertising business from a buy-side perspectiveThought Leadership
      • Develop / maintain subject matter expertise in RMN advisory , relevant emerging technology, and other related business areas such as consumer privacy regulations and trends
      • Train and develop team members to be able to lead top-tier Retail Media consulting engagements and deliver high-impact output for our clients
      • Conduct research on RMN topics, form strategies, develop external partnerships, and help Ovative leaders imagine new products and monetizable offerings (Consulting or otherwise)
      • Driving the vision of "what's next" for Ovative Retail Media Network advisory / Consulting practice, as we seek to continue to differentiate in the market on RMN
      • Supporting our external reputation development efforts, which could include being the face of Ovative RMN Advisory in marketing content, joining conferences and other external networks, and supporting certain business development opportunities, scoping exercises, and pitches Role Requirements
        • At least 3-5 years experience in the Retail Media field as a builder and/or practitioner of relevant inventory and processes (on-site/off-site display, on-site search sponsorships, audiences, video, etc.)
        • Primary experience and familiarity with vendors and tools commonly employed by RMNs (SSPs, DSPs, CDPs, DMPs, identity onboarders, analytical tools etc.)
        • Extensive experience navigating change management topics related to RMNs within a retail organization; such as, cost/benefit analysis of common e-commerce inventory or conflicts of incentives behind common RMN adjacent stakeholders in a retail organization
        • A highly-tuned ability to clearly explain complex and technical concepts to a wide audience, including leaders and those without a technical background
        • A deep knowledge of economic models and pricing behind different a wide assortment of RMN inventory types as well as a clear understanding of marketing funding types
        • Preferred: prior experience in a consulting environment

        • Excellent communication (e.g., oral, written, presentation) and deliverable production skills
        • Advanced client management / internal partner relationship skills Pay Transparency At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. -Actual offers are made with consideration for relevant experience and anticipated impact. Additional benefits information is provided below.For our Senior Manager positions, our compensation ranges from $111,000 to $186,000, which is inclusive of a 25% bonus.
