General Duties - Establish department goals, policies, procedures
and quality improvement programs to insure delivery of quality care
for all patients. - Establish basic competencies and develop an
educational plan for all staff. Provide education to staff as
needed. - Support the work of department members, other department
managers, and administration in the care of patients and function
of the organization. - Understand that customer satisfaction will
result when quality patient care services are delivered. Evaluate
services to promote quality care. Recognize needs of other
departments and respond to their needs in a respectful timely
manner. - Mentor and orient staff including skill development,
problem solving, decision making, programs, equipment and
regulatory requirements. - Schedule and ensure adequate staffing
ratios. - Work occasional weekends/holidays as needed to cover
department staffing needs. - Hire and terminate personnel as
necessary with direction and guidance from the Chief Quality
Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and CEO. - Must be able to
manage time effectively and complete written documentation as
required. - Maintain a good working relationship within and with
other departments. - Assume responsibility for personnel-related
duties, ie. Interviewing, taking disciplinary action, reviewing
payroll, daily scheduling, scheduling PTO, and motivating staff. -
Use of negotiation skills, independent judgment, and ability to
work effectively under pressure due to conflicting job demands. -
Submits annual reports and budget requests, inventory and
requisitions supplies and equipment. - Attend Leadership Council
Meetings and any other committee meetings as assigned and reports
necessary information back to staff. - Ability to present at
Medical Staff meeting, Board Meeting Etc. - Ensures that monthly
Imaging statistics are completed and sent to the appropriate
department/service. - Able to do data analytics from Radiology.
Managing the Care Delivery Structure - Provide oversight of day to
day radiology operations. - Work with other departments to ensure
continuity of patient care. - Work with Chief Quality Officer to
develop an annual quality improvement plan. Updates/revises plan as
required and reports to the Quality/Patient Safety Committee as
requested. Maintains documentation of CQI activities assigned. -
Work with Chief Quality Officer and Finance Team on fiscal
management and long-range planning. - Work with hospital
administration and Chief Experience Officer to market the services
we provide to the community. - Establish positive working
relationship with other health care facilities. - Evaluate and work
to improve results of patient satisfaction surveys (documentation
and reporting). - Assist River's Edge Hospital & Clinic to maintain
compliance with Department of Health and Human Services, National
Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO), and
ISO 9001 Quality Management System rules and regulations. -
Recognize when standards are not being met and make changes that
effectively bring the organization into compliance. - Respond to
patient and family concerns. Communicate these concerns to
appropriate staff and document resolution of concern. - Lead by
example. Financial Outcomes - Work with Chief Quality Officer
preparing yearly budget. - Participate in the development of new
programs to enhance revenue. - Identify sources of cost savings
while still providing the highest quality of care. - Monitor
monthly budget and make the corrections necessary to improve the
financial outlook. Complete monthly budget variance report as
required. Business Development Initiatives/Strategic Visioning &
Planning - Frequently uses presentation, training, supervising and
mentoring skills. - Mental capability to continuously use
interpersonal and teamwork skills, discretion and ability depending
on staff and client needs. - Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization. - Ability to read
and interpret documents such as safety rules/policies, operating
and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Performance
Requirements/Expectations - Physical ability to talk and hear, and
frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, grasp, handle small objects,
and use repetitive motions of the hands and wrists. - Must be able
to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds, occasionally push
and pull objects, operate a computer including keyboard, telephone
and move freely throughout the department. Practice good body
mechanics at all times. - Continuously seek to increase the quality

Work with Chief Quality Officer to develop an annual quality
improvement plan. - Uses conflict resolution negotiation and

change and promotes, supports and evaluates change for patients,
employees and the organization. - Contributes to the overall
organization's financial performance. Hip & Knee replacement
Certification requirements; Shoulder Surgery Program Certification
requirements; Spine Surgery Program Certification requirements. -
Take images of hip/knee in the OR with the portable unit. - Take
images of hip/knee in the OR with the c-arm unit. - Understand the
sterile field in the OR and how to work around it. - Take images in
PACU of specified hip/knee. - Understand the proper techniques for
cleaning the portable units and c-arm before and after hip/knee
surgical case. Physical Demands/Requirements The below requirements

hrs/day - Continual ability to be mobile, grasping, talking/hearing
in person/ on phone, and vision for close up work. - Frequent
sitting, frequent lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, keyboarding,
use of color vision and repetitive hand movements. - Occasional
stationary standing, walking, stooping, twisting, turning/pivoting
and reaching overhead. - Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling up to
30 pounds is an essential function of this position, in a
non-repetitious manner. Requirements: - Education or degree
required, from an accredited radiology program. -
License/certification: ARRT in radiology (plus an additional
registry in CT or mammography preferred). - Must have a minimum of
5-7 years in radiology services (CT, mammography). - Must have good
verbal and written communication skills. Able to work effectively
with other clinical services. Use delegation skills in managing. -
Practical knowledge of various computer programs (access to
internet, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook). - Two to three years of
manager or supervisor experience required. - Certified in Basic
Life Support (BLS) or will be certified within 3 months of
hire.Will be added to RQI and complete quarterly courses to be
certified in American Heart (BLS) within first 3 months of
employment. - Will utilize RQI to stay current in BLS per River's
