Cardiovascular Transplant Surgeon Opportunity Location: Rochester, MN Full-Time, permanent position Position Highlights Join a multidisciplinary cardiovascular transplant team specializing in heart and lung transplantation Focus on high-volume heart or lung transplant procedures, adult cardiac surgery (CABG, endocarditis), and acute circulatory support Opportunity to participate in advanced transplant programs including durable ventricular assist devices (VADs) Engage in integrated clinical practice, education, and research Take part in teaching medical students, residents, and fellowsQualifications Board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship-trained in heart and lung transplantation UNOS certification in heart or lung transplantation or ability to meet certification requirements Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Minnesota Demonstrated high-volume experience in heart or lung transplantation Evidence of academic productivity, clinical research, and leadership skills Ability to take call outside business hours for transplant and acute circulatory supportAcademic & Research Opportunities Participate in teaching programs Access to intramural, industry, and federally funded research opportunities Collaborate with a nationally recognized cardiovascular and transplant programPractice Environment Work in a high-volume, state-of-the-art transplant center Multidisciplinary team approach including cardiology, anesthesia, ICU, perfusion, and allied health professionals Emphasis on innovative, patient-centered care with cutting-edge technologyCommunity Rochester offers excellent schools, cultural amenities, outdoor recreation, and a family-friendly environment
