Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan (LSS) seeks an empathetic and professional Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team in providing holistic and comprehensive counseling services. At LSS, you will work in a supportive environment aimed at fostering health, healing, and hope within communities served. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in offering personalized therapeutic support, developing mental health plans, and facilitating wellness workshops to empower our clients coping with various life challenges. Conduct initial assessments and periodic evaluations of client's mental health status. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge. Lead individual and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance treatment effectiveness. Monitor and document clients' progress and make necessary treatment adjustments. Facilitate community-based mental wellness workshops and seminars. Actively participate in ongoing professional development and training. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Deep understanding of counseling strategies and methodologies Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Competence in crisis management and intervention Proficiency in clinical record-keeping and reporting software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in the state of Wisconsin or Michigan Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or similar methodologies preferred
