Job Description:
Hazelden Betty Ford is seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to
join our dedicated healthcare team, working in a caring environment
focused on addiction treatment and recovery. As part of our
comprehensive care approach, you will assist in the physical and
emotional rehabilitation of patients, integrating massage therapy
into their treatment plans to promote healing and well-being. This
position requires a compassionate professional committed to
supporting our mission of fostering recovery solutions through
personalized, evidence-based therapeutic practices. Conduct patient
assessments to determine the appropriate massage therapy techniques
and plans in accordance with their specific recovery needs. Provide
a range of therapeutic massage services, including Swedish, deep
tissue, sports massage, and other specialty techniques beneficial
for detoxification and pain relief. Collaborate with medical and
psychological staff to integrate massage therapy into overall
treatment plans. Maintain detailed records of massage therapy
sessions and patient progress, adhering to confidentiality and
ethical guidelines. Educate patients about additional relaxation
and pain-relief techniques, promoting overall mental and physical
wellness. Ensure all massage equipment and supplies are cleaned and
maintained according to health and safety regulations. Proficiency
in various massage therapy techniques with a strong understanding
of human anatomy and physiology. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to compassionately interact with
individuals from diverse backgrounds who are undergoing addiction
treatment. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed as a
Massage Therapist in the state of practice. Certification from a
recognized professional body such as the American Massage Therapy
Association (AMTA) or equivalent.
