Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in cardiac cath lab procedures and current ACLS/BLS for a day shift assignment. Responsibilities - Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab at a Magnet, teaching, Level III trauma facility - Adult cardiac patient population requiring advanced interventional procedures - Procedures include cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, temporary pacemaker, and vascular closure - Role involves scrubbing, monitoring, prepping access sites, EKG lead placement, and hemodynamic monitoring - 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM - On-call is required approximately one weekday per week and every 4th to 5th weekend, with occasional Sunday coverage - Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals within scope may be required - Uses Excellian/Epic for charting; documentation experience with Epic/Excellian required - Scrubs provided by the unit - Duties include accurate patient monitoring, equipment setup, maintaining a sterile field, and performing EKG lead placement - Work as part of a multidisciplinary cardiology team in a high-acuity environment - Pre-start online modules required and must be completed before start date - Travelers returning as staff must have a break of at least 3 months since last worked shift - Holiday and occasional weekend coverage may be required - RTO is ideally limited to 5 days - Parking is available at a flat hourly rate Requirements - Minimum 1-2 years’ recent experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab - Required certifications: ACLS and BLS - Experience with specific procedures including diagnostic/left/right heart cath, PCI, PTCA, IABP, stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker placements - Proficient in scrub, monitor, and circulator duties as well as in recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias - Epic/Excellian documentation experience required - MN license required if applicable; pending license accepted - Must provide at least one supervisor reference upon consideration - First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of cath lab experience - Candidates must live at least 100 miles from facility unless applying to a radiology position - Must be able to pass required fingerprinting for MN state compliance Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627574.
