Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications for a day shift assignment. Responsibilities - Work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab at a Magnet-recognized, Level III Trauma, teaching facility - Perform adult cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, temporary pacemaker, hemodynamic and PA line monitoring - Responsible for accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, sterile field maintenance, vascular closure systems, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias - 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with call approximately one day per week and every 4th–5th weekend; occasional Sunday on-call - Expected to float within hospital and to associated locations as needed - Uses Excellian/Epic EMR—Epic experience required - Scrubs are provided by the unit - Team-oriented environment with cross-training and support across cath lab roles - All new travelers are required to complete pre-start and onsite modules, including Excellian/Epic training - Must be able to respond to call requirements and float within scope of practice - RTO ideally should not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract - Candidates returning after prior employment must have a minimum 3 month gap since last shift - Parking is available at a flat hourly rate - Level III trauma environment with 672 staffed beds - Locals are accepted for radiology positions per facility guidelines - Fingerprinting may be required before start in compliance with Minnesota state law Requirements - Current ACLS and BLS certifications required - Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a cardiac cath lab; 2 years required for first-time travelers - Proven competency in scrubbing and monitoring for cardiac cath lab procedures - Documented experience with stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, arrhythmia interpretation, and all cath lab responsibilities outlined above - Experience with Epic/Excellian charting required - Valid state license required if applicable; pending license accepted - At least one supervisor reference required for consideration - Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility unless applying for a radiology position as a local Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627573.
