Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a cardiac cath lab role requiring 1-2 years of experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications. Responsibilities - Position is based in a short term acute care, Magnet, Level III trauma teaching hospital - Work in the interventional cardiac cath lab with adult patient population - Perform procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, pulmonary artery line insertion, temporary pacemaker, and left/right heart catheterizations - Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, scrub procedures, accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, and maintaining sterile field - Role utilizes vascular closure systems - Uses Excellian/Epic EMR—experience required - Day shift (4x10s) from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, four days per week - On-call rotation is required approximately one day per week and every 4th to 5th weekend, including occasional Sundays - Candidate may float within hospital or to affiliated hospitals as needed - Scrubs are provided by the unit - Performs advanced cardiac and interventional procedures in a busy acute care setting - Integrates with a multidisciplinary care team in a high-acuity hospital environment - Pre-start modules are required and will be compensated separately - Candidates must complete fingerprinting as required by Minnesota state policy before start - Open to first-time travelers with appropriate experience - Time off should ideally not exceed 5 days - Locals are accepted for this radiology position - Return staff must have a minimum 3-month break from last perm shift before reapplying Requirements - 1-2 years of recent diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience required - Experience with scrubbing and monitoring required - ACLS and BLS certifications required - Epic/Excellian EMR experience required - Pending license accepted; license required if applicable - One supervisor reference required for consideration - All candidates must be eligible for fingerprinting as per Minnesota state requirements - Minimum two years cath lab experience scrubbing and monitoring for first-time travelers Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629972.
