Job Description:

This full-time CDL driver role involves transporting trailers between service centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples. Key responsibilities include conducting daily safety inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, completing documentation, maintaining logs, and complying with safety and hazardous materials regulations. Additional duties may involve loading/unloading freight, performing chaining, and occasionally working as a city driver or dock employee. Candidates must hold a Class A CDL with relevant endorsements, have at least one year of recent experience or completed a driver development course, and meet DOT and LCV certification standards where applicable. Skills required include good communication, physical ability to lift and maneuver trailers, and the capacity to work independently or in teams. Work conditions involve long-distance driving in various weather, exposure to noise, fumes, and hazardous materials, with some overnight stays. Starting pay is $28.95/hour, with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
