Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Experiential Therapist II to join our team at Rogers Behavioral
Health. As a key member of our therapeutic team, you will be
responsible for developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating
experiential therapeutic programming for patients/residents. Your
expertise will be utilized to create a safe and supportive
environment that fosters growth, healing, and empowerment.Key
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement experiential therapeutic programming that
meets the unique needs of patients/residents.
- Conduct group facilitation sessions, utilizing a variety of
expressive and recreational media to promote therapeutic growth and
development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless
integration of therapeutic services.
- Document patient/resident progress and treatment plans,
ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Participate in mentorship and training programs to enhance
skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the development and implementation of ROS (Rogers
Operating System) plans, ensuring alignment with departmental goals
and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to student interns, ensuring a
positive and supportive learning environment.
- Comply with regulatory agency guidelines and hospital policies,
ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.Requirements
- BS/BA degree in recreation, art, music, dance, psychodrama, or
other expressive therapies, with certification/registration through
the appropriate credentialing board desired.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in group facilitation in a
behavioral health setting, with mentorship experience
preferred.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license (applicable to Oconomowoc and
Regional Sites only).
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR
certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue required
within thirty (30) days of hire, with annual re-certification.
- Formal training in management of aggressive patients required
within sixty (60) days of hire, with annual re-certification,
including self-defense training.Working ConditionsThis position
requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
with frequent exposure to patients/residents with varying levels of
emotional and behavioral needs. The successful candidate will be
able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor, even in
