DN02Job DescriptionCertified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
(CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) licensed as
independent practitioners. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
practice both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of
health providers on the interprofessional team to deliver
high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services
according to the Standards of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, Scope of
Practice for Nurse Anesthetists, and Code of Ethics for Nurse
Anesthetists. The CRNA is responsible for the assessment, planning
and the implementation of this care in accordance with Client
policies and procedures for patients at all acuity levels across
the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but
not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and
pain management. The CRNA also participates in planning and
administering programs for the delivery of primary, acute, or
chronic care with other health professionals.*Qualifications:*Holds
current licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse in the
state of Minnesota and complies with any applicable state statutory
or regulatory requirements.Graduate of a nurse anesthesia
educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of
Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.Complies
with one of the following requirements regarding certification
eligibility, initial certification, or recertification:a. Meets
criteria 1 and 2 above, and is awaiting initial certification (some
states limit this period of time); orb. Is currently certified by
the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists or its
predecessor; orc. Is currently recertified by the Council on
Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.Certified in ACLS, PALS, NRP,
and BLS.Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for
the limits required by Client.Must be credentialed in accordance
with the medical staff bylaws and the credentialing requirements
and processes of the hospital prior to assuming full
responsibilities of the position.Demonstrates current competency in
the clinical responsibilities for which the candidate is
applying.Regional anesthesia skills strongly
preferred.Schedule:This position is scheduled at a .8 FTE (64 hours
per two-week pay period) working day hours + Call.Call
Requirements: Weekday call rotation (1 in 5 weeknights Monday thru
Thursday) and weekend call rotation (1 in 5 weekends). Weekend Call
Shift: Friday at 1500 thru Monday at 0700. Candidate must be able
to be in the hospital within 30 min. while taking call. Not
required to stay in-house for labor epidurals.Holidays:Rotating
schedule; holidays that are on a Monday are covered by CRNA that is
on-call the previous weekend.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay:
$300.00 - $350.00 per hourExperience:* CRNA: 1 year
