and experience. Our Women's Health Clinical Service Line works to
provide world class care, outcomes, and experiences for the
combined services of mothers, babies, and families. Our care
services include maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrical care, newborn
care, fetal intervention, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery,
urogynecology, and perinatal mental health. Our OB Hospitalist
provide in-house obstetrical coverage of the labor and delivery
unit, antepartum and postpartum units, and triage areas. Reporting
to Hsieng Su, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical
Executive, Allina Health seeks a dynamic Physician Executive to
serve as our Vice President of Womens Health services in Minnesota.
This role additionally has a reporting relationship with the Chief
of Critical Care for Childrens Minnesota. This leader will drive
whole person womens care growth for the organization and create new
capabilities regarding complex care including a matrixed
accountability for sub-specialty growth within Gynecology Oncology,
Reproductive Endocrinology, and Mobile Obstetric Ultrasound
services. This role will have overall accountability for over 100
providers, producing approximately 450,000 wrvus. We are seeking an
individual with a successful track record in leading and managing
change. This role is primarily administrative, but there may be an
opportunity for a small clinical or hospitalist practice. Allinas
Womens Health Program Highlights Labor and Delivery services are
offered at eight hospital locations across Allinas service area,
resulting in nearly 14k annual deliveries Our Womens Health
Providers include; 50+ OB/GYNs, 20+ OB Hospitalists, 13 Clinical
Nurse Midwives, 11 Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, 2 Fetal
Interventionalists and a Urogynecologist. Our metro hospitals offer
one level IV NICU and two Level III NICUs, in additional to our six
regional hospitals with L&D services Our OB hospitalists
provide in-house obstetrical coverage of the labor and delivery
unit, antepartum and postpartum units, and triage area. Services
include, but are not limited to, emergency cesarean sections,
spontaneous vaginal or operative vaginal births, postpartum tubal
ligations, and rounding on antepartum, laboring, and postpartum
patients Positions Purpose Leads the Womens Health Clinical Service
Lines senior leadership team to implement the vision, mission, and
strategic clinical priorities. Positions the CSL as the leader in
innovative and integrative clinical services which are regionally
and nationally competitive for care excellence. Ensures all
programs support the mission and strategic objectives of the
system. This position has ultimate responsibility and
accountability to assure that programs and services delivered by
team members are safe, timely, effective, efficient,
patient-centered, and equitable. Reporting Relationships The Vice
President of Womens Health will report directly to Hsieng Su, MD,
Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Executive and will lead the
following direct reports: Regional Ob/Gyn Medical Directors (2)
Midwifery Lead Urogynecology Lead OB Hospitalists Medical Director
MN Perinatal Physicians (MPP) Medical Director Executive Director
for Womens Health and Mother Baby Center (dotted) Primary
Responsibilities In collaboration with Childrens Minnesota
Executive team, provide leadership and management to CSL Ensure
operations meet quality, financial and affordability targets and
ensures provider and staff satisfaction Lead the CSL clinical
strategy development in partnership with the leadership team,
physicians, employees and external third parties to fully develop
the vision and strategies for the achievement and expansion of the
integration of care Represent CSL within the Clinical Operations
Leadership Team and other system leadership committees, as
appropriate Develop, implement, and monitor a budget that ensures
the departments continuing stability and overall contribution to
the institution Be knowledgeable and enforce administrative and
governing regulations to ensure the highest level of compliance and
resource stewardship Best practice development and consistent care
delivery Promote a multi-disciplinary team concept of clinical care
by fostering collaborative working relationship across the CSL and
the system Partner in leading the effective execution of
patient-centered clinical strategy with the system's multiple
business units and clinical service lines Responsible for the
development and implementation of appropriated clinical performance
standards Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate
CSL clinical performance, and ensure it meets short and long-term
objectives and regulatory and differentiating quality goals for
patients and the communities served Develop strategies and
solutions to build team member capability Articulate the CSLs
vision and approves departments business, education, and research
goals Maximize the divisions ability to create entrepreneurial
opportunities for additional resource development leading to
excellence in patient care, research, and education Candidate
Requirements Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or a
related medical specialty Proven ability to collaborate and
influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization 7+ years
in effective collaboration of stakeholders to provide solutions to
complex medical challenges 10+ years leading in novel program
design and implementation of prevention and treatment practice
models of care 10+ years experience leading a multi-site,
comprehensive Womens Health program within an integrated delivery
system Doctoral level advanced degree from an accredited school of
medicine and completed residency Licensed Physician with the MN
Board of Medical Practice upon hire Employment Type: Full Time
