University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Inpatient Psychiatry Consult Service at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
In This Role, You Will:

• 
  
• 
  Work collaboratively with licensed mental health professionals and psychiatrists to provide a combination of in-person and virtual psychiatric consultations to various medical specialties within a hospital setting.
  
  
• 
  The provider may be located at one main site (University of Minnesota Medical Center or M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital, etc.) and provide telemedicine coverage for outlying hospitals throughout the M Health Fairview system.
  
  
• 
  See 6 to 8 patients per day.
  
  
• 
  Work with a team of 5 employed providers, 2 independent contractors, 2 licensed mental health providers, and a few casual providers who help cover weekends.

    We're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:
    
    • 
      
    • 
      A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training program.
      
      
    • 
      Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
      
      
    • 
      Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).
      
      
    • 
      Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
