We are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or LPN to join our team of health professionals dedicated to providing excellent care and service to our clients.
The Medical Assistant - LPN provides support to the Nurse Practitioner providers and other staff in the delivery of high-quality, personalized client health care services. Some duties include greeting clients, assisting with rooming clients and preparing clients for evaluation and procedures, managing client flow, and obtaining and documenting relevant client histories. The Medical Assistant is responsible for helping to create an excellent client - customer experience and to help our clients with their health goals.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Education and training as Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or LPN
Valid CMA - LPN certification in the State of Minnesota
Current CPR-BLS certification
Medical Office Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Duties and responsibilities
Prepare clients for office visits, greet and escort client to the exam room
Obtain clients vitals, update the clients medical history, medications, and allergies
Document client information electronically in chart in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner
Prepare client in exam room for the exam, treatment, or procedure
Assist with various office procedures
Prepare and administer vaccinations and injections as ordered per provider and standing orders
Perform office lab procedures accurately and in a timely manner
Draws client blood, obtains samples, labels, records and, completes lab orders and ensures that specimens are picked up for transport to outside laboratory
Clean and sterilize all equipment and exam room items according to bloodborne pathogen protocols
Distribute educational materials and resources to the client as directed by the provider
Assists client with scheduling appointments
Communicate test results to client as directed by the provider
Facilitate obtaining lab-imaging results and notify providers of abnormalities
Maintain a safe, clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for clients and staff
Perform routine clerical, reception and medical records tasks as needed
Respond to urgent or emergent needs of the client
Participate in team meetings
Maintains a cooperative relationship with team members by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods
Other duties as assigned

Proficient in EHR medical charting systems and computer-based data management programs and information systems
Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information
Performs routine clinical procedures which fall within the scope of medical assisting, independently based on experience and training
Employees may be required to complete or be responsible for additional job duties as assigned
Uses resources efficiently, conservatively and is cost conscious
